From art and music to web design, creativity has always been central to Aso Kurdman’s life. Raised in Florida with international roots, Aso developed a love for drawing, painting, and working with various artistic mediums like watercolor and ink. Music followed closely behind, starting with piano at seven and progressing to keyboard, bass, and drums, alongside learning to read and write music.
This creative mindset led him to study graphic design. He first earned an award in high school for webpage design at Oak Ridge High and then completed an AS degree in graphic design at Valencia College.
Now, Aso applies these skills at My Website Spot, focusing on web design. Every project starts with mockups in Photoshop before transitioning into development. The most rewarding part of the work is the creative process—turning an idea into a visually appealing design. The biggest challenge is bridging the gap between design and code, but every project is an opportunity to refine those skills.
The most important core value is knowledge. Learning is an everyday process, whether it’s through experimenting with new design techniques, understanding typography, or working with clients who have a range of unique requests. The goal is to master tools like Elementor and other internal programs to streamline the web design process.
Outside of work, Aso enjoys spending time with family, especially his nephews and nieces. Speaking multiple languages adds another layer of connection to different cultures and experiences.
Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is important to Aso, with a focus on fresh fruits and salads. Aso enjoys television as a way to appreciate storytelling, from Shogun’s historical language to the rich cello compositions in Game of Thrones and the striking cinematography of House of the Dragon, and Dune. In his free time, Aso continues studying music, photography, and astronomy, always looking for new ways to learn and grow.
